Artist Sarah Bonini

About the Artist:

Sarah Bonini hails from a family of creatives who have been working in canvas and textile art, upholstery, painting, and more for generations. The arts—from crafting to singing—have always been part of her life. Sarah started Coat of Charms in 2015 to spark her creativity and supplement her income after scaling back to a part time career when she became a mom. Her passion, dedication, and clear vision, combined with sound advice from her husband Mike (who is also a successful entrepreneur), she has been able to grow Coat of Charms from a dream to a reality.

As a furniture and design artist, Sarah pours love, sweat, tears (and even sometimes a little blood!) into each new piece she creates. Before she begins work, she thinks carefully about the character, craftsmanship, texture, and style of the furniture she will restore, and chooses colors, stains, and designs that bring out and enhance its finest qualities. Transforming careworn vintage furniture back into an elegant, functional asset to any room takes persistence and talent. As you can see from the photos on this website, her efforts produce dazzling results.

About Our Furniture

All of our pieces have been pre-owned and pre-loved, and most are vintage or antique. Because each piece of furniture we design comes to us with a history all its own, each one is likely to have has perfect imperfections that we believe give it a distinctive character, charm, and unique beauty. Because every Coat of Charms original is hand-painted, there will be occasional brush strokes and there may be minor variations in the finish that reflect the care and personal artistry of a piece that has been lovingly painted by hand.

Pieces that came to us needing repair have been repaired to the best of our ability and knowledge and are in good working condition (unless otherwise specified).

As you view the photographs on this website, please remember that the colors of actual pieces may vary slightly from what you see on your screen due to lighting, monitor settings, and other variables.

By placing an order with Coat of Charms, you acknowledge every section of our Terms of Sale in its entirety, including our strict No Refund, No Return, No Cancellation policy.

Do not hesitate to message us with inquiries, or requests for additional photos or general information. We are happy to assist you and are committed to positive customer experiences.

All of our pieces are Sold As Is. We adhere to a strict No Cancellations, No Returns, No Refunds, No Exchanges Policy. We do not offer warranties or guarantees of any kind so please make sure you love your piece and have measured your space before you purchase it.  Additional photos and information are available upon request so please don’t hesitate to message us before making your purchase.

Coat of Charms is not responsible for any damage or lost items that may occur during transit. Please inspect your package immediately upon delivery and note any damage to the shipper as you will need to file a claim with them directly.

Please do not purchase until you have contacted me for a shipping quote. Once the cost of shipping has been agreed upon and paid for, shipping arrangements will be made and communicated.  The size, weight, and distance will determine the method of shipping. Your items may arrive on a pallet, crated, boxed, or in some cases, minor assembly may be required. Pallet or crated items will be delivered to your driveway or garage. White glove or blanket wrap deliveries will be carried to the ground floor. Smaller items will be boxed and delivered via FedEx. All deliveries require an adult present at the time of delivery.

Coat of Charms is not responsible for any damage, lost, or stolen items that may occur during transit.  If your item is lost or damaged during transit, I am happy to assist you with the process of filing and submitting a claim. Please note, however, it is the buyer’s sole responsibility to carry out the claims process with the shipping company once your claim has been filed. 

We ship furniture using third party independent white glove shipping companies, all of which are responsible for the furniture once it has left my shop. I ask that you do not leave neutral or negative feedback for errors or mishaps that occur during transit as these unfortunate situations are the responsibility of the shipping company. During this time there may be unavoidable delays in shipping and delivery dates due to the high demand of shippers, newly established local and national regulations, and precautions along with changes to approved operational times due to the COVID 19 pandemic. 

We ask for patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We will do everything in our power to get your items to you as quickly as possible.
